Vincentian Entrepreneurs receives Regional & Global Awards for their Local Products and Services

St. George’s Grenada, October 30, 2015:

Vincentian Entrepreneurs Delegation (Team Biz-Hub SVG 2015) has completed a three day Trade Mission and knowledge sharing program at the Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods (CoESL) in partnership with Dynamic Youths of Grenada Business Hub Global conference held in Grenada.

The Annual Sustainable Development through Entrepreneurship Conference was held at the Grenada Youth Centre, Grand Anse St. Georges, Grenada. Executive Director Dr. Ashley C. John, of SVG’s Non Profit company Constructive Solutions Inc. says he is extremely delighted with the performance of the entire team once again this year. He noted that this year is the best year for St. Vincent & and the Entrepreneurs we serve. They have been duly awarded, and much value has been added to our local entrepreneurs and their creativity and innovation.

SVG was among a gathering of a regional and global entrepreneurial and partner’s delegation of over 35 persons from Eleven countries including Antigua, Belize, Barbados, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Suriname, and Panama, United States of America, Nigeria and host Grenada.

Vincentians were awarded:
Best Product – Agriculture Alita Garraway (Auroras Seasoning & Pepper Sauces)
Best Product – Cultural Industries & Services Semesha Corea (EDGE Media Centre)

Additionally, the Project team at Constructive Solutions Inc. also received global awards for the outstanding work in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the world as a whole, for nation building and developing people to gain sustainable livelihoods.

Facilitators of the conference, including Senator Winston Garraway, Minister of State within the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Religious Affairs with special responsibility for National Disaster Management Authority (NADMA); Ambassador to Burundi, Dr. Clive Rivers Founder of IChange Nations Dr. Marcia Brandon CoESL, Dr. Charles Kinuthia, Dr. Melida Harris-Barrow, and Dr, Una May Gordon and other stakeholders, encouraged Vincentian and regional entrepreneurs to continue to be resilient and innovative. Innovation will help to solve some of our challenges as well as help them to provide employment for themselves and others.

Going forward, Team Biz-Hub SVG Delegation will participate in Global Entrepreneurship Week Caribbean from November 16th – 22nd 2015.

Team Biz-Hub has also been invited to participate in the Expo-Comer March 9th-12th 2016 in Panama, to further market Vincentian products on the regional and global market which will help us to earn much needed foreign exchange.

Team Biz-Hub SVG recognizes this valuable opportunity as a great learning experience which has helped to open their minds more and helped them to focus on growing their local businesses.

Their quest is to continue to foster the entrepreneurial mindsets and development among citizens across St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Team Biz-Hub would like to thank the CoESL and Dynamic Youth of Grenada Business Hub as well as all the other partners who worked with these two organizations to make this conference possible.
